Summer Intern, State Senator Christopher Cabaldon’s Davis District Office:
Worked with district staff, compiled daily news clips, researched cases and bills.

Assistant Video Producer, The Daily Bruin:
Led a large team in the creation of a broadcast news show, “On The Steps.” Provided feedback on contributors’ content. Filmed, wrote and edited assorted award winning video journalism projects, filmed and edited video podcasts.

Learning Centers Consultant, UCLA Learning Centers:
Produced and edited videos for UCLA, including promotional videos and speaker event recordings. Led workshops in video-editing and video for podcasts. Interacted with students in a customer service environment, helping students who wished to use the learning center space and renting out equipment.

Intern, The Consulate General of France in Los Angeles:
Worked with the cultural attaché, writing speeches and researching higher education French programs across the western United States. Practiced French in a professional setting.

Summer Intern, Congressman Mike Thompson’s DC Office:
Led capitol tours, coordinated with other congressional staff, created daily press clips, fielded constituent calls, researched policy issues.

Summer Intern, Congressman Mike Thompson’s Woodland District Office:
Worked with district staff, assisted constituents with casework ranging from passport issues to social security and immigration, answered phone calls and logged constituent concerns, staffed Congressman Thompson at district events, extended my internship by a month to assist the Constituent Services Representative to reduce his case load.

President, Davis High School (DHS) Parent Teacher Association (PTA):
Led meetings using Robert’s Rules of Order, oversaw all activities of the various subcommittees, communicated with parents and staff, coordinated volunteers and donations, and helped develop and manage the $44,000 budget.
2020-2023
Journalist, The BlueDevilHUB, DHS:
Wrote or produced over 50 stories across 3 years for the award winning student newspaper (Columbia Scholastic Press Association Silver Crown Award). Created a new weekly news show, “The Brakedown” to fill DHS’ extended time period; produced, hosted, directed, and edited 32 episodes; supervised a team of reporters and lead the design and construction of a new studio space. Produced their podcast, “The News Cycle.”
